AFRIKAMERA HORN OF AFRICA – WORKSHOPS DSCHIBUTI 2018

In 2018, just after the festival, the AFRIKAMERA team will be a guest at the University of Djibouti. There, over several days AFRIKAMERA WORKSHOPS will take place on the topics of curation, festival management & organization and marketing in collaboration with the Faculté des Lettres, Langues et Sciences humaines (FLLSH).

In the course of the 11th edition of AFRIKAMERA an AFRIKAMERA RESIDENCY for post production will be realized. The first scholarship holder is the Burkinabe filmmaker SALAM ZAMPALIGRE, whose documentary project LE TAXI, LE CINÉMA ET MOI was selected by an international jury. In November 2018 he is invited to realize the postproduction of his film in Berlin.

SALAM ZAMPALIGRE has been working in film for more than ten years and is a ,ember of the collective Génération Films. He graduated from the Institute Supérieur de l’Image et du Son (ISIS) in Ouagadougou. His studies also took him to Germany (Deutsche Welle), France (Université d’été de la FEMIS and Cifap) and the Netherlands (Nederlands Films and Televisie Akademie).

Zampaligré has made numerous successful short films and is currently working on a feature film. He was selected by Canal France International (CFI) in 2013 to participate in a screenwriting and directorial residency program. In 2015, he was selected as one of the ten best young screenwriters of the continent to attend a talent workshop for screenplay jointly organized by Keewu Production (Lagardère) and CFI in Dakar, Senegal. In addition to studio work, the stay includes mentoring by experts as well as support in the expansion of networks, knowledge bases and presentation possibilities.
