He spends his days thinking of the sea and the majestic mountains that surround his house, and keeps his head above water by fishing and growing vegetables. His only company is a rooster, a few sparrows and a battery-powered portable radio that connects him to the outside world. In view of his advancing age and uncertain future, he begins to wonder whether it might not be time to leave the village&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CARLOS YURI CEUNINCK<\/strong> is from Santo Ant\u00e3o, Cape Verde. He studied at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisi\u00f3n (EICTV) in Cuba, specializing in documentary filmmaking.
