WALT MZENGI COREY<\/strong> is a Tanzanian-born writer, director and cinematographer based between Dar es Salaam and New York. He has worked on several award-winning films that have been presented at festivals such as the Black Star Film Festival and the Zanzibar International Film Festival. In 2022, Walt was selected by Netflix and UNESCO as one of six winners of the African Folktales, Reimagined competition, which led to the production of KATOPE. He is currently studying film at New York University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
