The documentary by Burkinabe director Salam Zampaligr\u00e9 draws a portrait of Drissa Tour\u00e9, a taxi driver who decides to become a director after meeting Senegalese film legend Ousmane Semb\u00e8ne. The documentary looks back on the life of the self-taught director, who celebrated international success with the feature films LAADA (1991) and HARAMUYA (1995), only to suddenly disappear from the film scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SALAM ZAMPALIGRE has been working in film for more than ten years and is a member of the collective G\u00e9n\u00e9ration Films. He is a graduate of the Institut Sup\u00e9rieur de l’Image et du Son (ISIS) in Ouagadougou and also studied in Germany, France and the Netherlands. Salam has directed several successful short films and was most recently guest of AFRIKAMERA with a CIN\u00c9 SLAM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
